A VIVID EXPERIENCE
Chameleon is a two-day multi-sensory percussion performance and art installation with live music and digital projections.
Each night will feature four indoor/outdoor performances, with over 50 musicians including Maria Finkelmeier, Greg Jukes and the students of South Florida Center for Percussive Arts from ages 6 – 18.

What is CHAMELEON?
Chameleon is a two-day immersive drum + tech experience that transforms SFCPA into a multi-sensory environment of rhythm, motion, light, and sound—built for the community.

How much does it cost to attend?
This event is 100% FREE for everyone. Space is limited. You must reserve your free ticket here to attend.
Do I need to get a ticket?
Yes! Though this event is FREE, attendees must reserve a FREE ticket in order to attend. Capacity is limited.
Is this event family friendly?
Yes! Chameleon is designed to be welcoming for a wide range of ages. Some moments may be loud (because…drums), so we recommend bringing ear protection for young children or anyone sensitive to loud noises.
Is this event rain or shine?
No, due to the technology required for these performances and outdoor components, a rain date will be provided to all attendees if one of the Chameleon dates must be rescheduled.
Is the space accessible?
We’re planning accessibility intentionally:
- ADA-accessible bathrooms available
- ADA-viewing areas are available for each performance
Full details (parking, entry, seating/standing options, sensory notes) will be shared with attendees 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

How long is the event?
Doors open at 6:00pm each night. Expect an immersive experience with set performance times. Full details (performance times, interactive experiences, vendors, etc.) will be shared with attendees 1-2 weeks prior to the event.
Can I come both nights?
Yes — and each night may feel a little different. Please be considerate of other attendees and only RSVP for nights you are 100% sure that you will attend. Space is limited.
What should I bring?
Just yourself (and friends/family). Optional: ear protection, comfortable shoes, and a fully charged phone if you want photos/videos (No flash!!)
Will there be parking?
We’re coordinating parking options nearby and will share a simple parking guide with attendees 1 – 2 weeks prior to the event.

Chameleon is produced in partnership with MF Dynamics, hosted by South Florida Center for Percussive Arts, with support from MAD Arts and funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Can I volunteer to support the event?

Can I film or take photos?
We encourage you to capture your personal photos & videos, but please no flash photography. Use #chameleonmiami to share your experience with us.
